Axel . . . he's just holding a conversation here with Roxas who is conveniently standing riight outside the frame ;) I can see Axel talking with his hands a lot. Yep. Definately.

Not entirely happy with the shading but then again I'm still just experimenting and learning as I go :P

So I wanted to practice drawing hands . . . . . and those hands somehow attached themselves to an Axel :D Funny how that happens eh? Half the time I have no idea what exactly I am drawing until it's done :)

...DUDE! If you *ever*, *ever* doubt your abilities to me again, I'm sending you a slap via Facebook. He is GORGEOUS! God, the colouring, the background, the awesome detail in his coat, HIS HAAAAIR! YOU DID HIS HAIR SO PERFECTLY! And his *eyes*, and his *expression* - his *pose* (definitely a hands-talker!) SO MUCH LOVE! As for his hands, they are so great - they look *real*, damn it! I also love his lips, but that could be coz I'm an Axel perv... YAAAAAY!

Awwww! Thanks hun! You know that your opinion means the most to me right :) ? The background was kinda confusing to do. I finished Axel and he looked like absolute shit just sitting in the middle of a void so I started playing with colours and this is what I ended up with? I wanted it to be kinda dark because he wasn't altogether thrilled looking in the pic but then I figured that he was talking to Roxie and Roxie is his *light* so there should be a kind of golden glow coming from that direction? I'm wierd - but you knew that before :D I officially hate wrinkles in clothing. I don't fully grasp how to draw them so they actually took me a while to be okay with :P Glad you like him! :D His lips are kinda more puffy than usual . . . I think I accidentally crossed him with Angelina O.o All in all, despite his overall femininity, I'm pretty darn happy with it :D

Haha, Axelina! XD I'm having bad thoughts... bad, bad thoughts... God, the opinion thing goes both ways - if you decided you didn't like something of mine, I would be *so* depressed D: If it was other people, I'd be like, "Hmph, fine." ^^;
I have absolutely no idea how you can make a background like that - I think your explanation for it is *perfect*, with Roxas being his light - major 'awww!' moment :P All your hard work definitely paid off with the wrinkles - I wouldn't have known you were so anti if you hadn't said anything, because they look absolutely fine, not struggled over at all. I'm looking at it now, for reference, and just noticed how much I love the definition in his chest - how you've used light/shadow instead of lines? Makes it look so much smoother and realistic. Yay for being happy with it! You *should* be! (otherwise, aforementioned facebook abuse!)

dyurp.
Awwww thank you! This is actually only the third picture i've done with my Wacom so I'm still trying to get the hang of the whole computer art thing :D So glad you like it! Haha - Roxas as a glow is a *lot* easier to draw than Real Roxas - that's for sure ^^; May have to attempt him at some point in the near future though =P Can't very well leave Axel alone now can I ;) Thanks for the comment!
Haha - wanna know a secret? I use light and shadow in the place of lines for the chest because I am absolutely horrid at drawing chests :P I can never make the clavicle's line up right :S So I go with about fifty million once overs with shading and hope it works out? As for the wrinkles - if you check out my other ones that have been posted like Ahraxs - you'll see . . . *gasp* no wrinkles! Because I *hates* them I do! D D:D You maaaakkkkkeeeee meeeeee hhhhaaaappppyyyyy! When skies are grey . . .erm or blue as the case may be right now? Grey-blue with little pieces of crystalized water falling from them? Guess the song wouldn't work so well with that line though? XD
Haha, yay for your lack of chest-drawing skills then! Because it looks way more realistic this way! Shading = <3 I've never been happier with the art stuff as when I discovered the shading tool - it's gives such cool dimensions to everything :D *sigh* I haven't worked on Lurexan in aaages. I have her hair, hands and face coloured, as well as her eyes. Needs to doooo - her outfit, incl. stripey tights, and pop-up book :( I'm a fellow wrinkle hater *fervent nod* It always blows me away, these people that seem to do it so effortlessly!
I am your snoooowflake, your only snoooowflake, in a cloud of a milllllion, I'm individuaaaaal, I'll never knooow deaaar, how much you loooove me, so please don't taaaake your snowflaaake awaaaay.
Wait, no. Do. Replace with sunshine, stat!

:D I am entirely in love with the lighten / darken layers in Photoshop elements 4.0 :D I know I really *should* actually go learn how to use them in a more serious way – but I just never find myself wanting to *read* about computer programs – no matter how helpful this one tiny intervention would be :P As for now – using layers at their most basic serves my purposes just fine ;) What program do you use? Yay Lurexan! I can’t wait to see her :D This is interesting – what do you start with when you colour? I always do the outline sketch first, then the real line-art, then the skin, then the eyes / lips / details, then the hair and then finally accessories and at the very end I do clothing and background / final light / shadow? As a result things look *really* funny until the clothing at least is done =P Most of the time I don’t actually do real line art though – just bring the original sketch to the top layer and erase all the scrabble ;) Go stripy tights!
Hehehe – I *love* the snowflake song! It is so much more . . . Canadian! :D You *do* realize that now it is going through my brain and is going to be just *that* distracting during my oral presentation next class :) *Worth it*! It’ll be calming – although if I start giggling during my ‘;Pharmaceutical companies like electronic submissions because . . . haha – in a cloouuuudd of a milllllion . . . Erm – yeah.’ :S part I blame you *entirely* ;)
Hahaha - I will accept full responsibility :D However, it *would* be awfully entertaining X3 How did it go?! Gah, it's too hard/boring to read the actual tutorials for the various functions with the art programs :S I have PhotoStudio, which very luckily came with the computer =p If I was more artistically inclined, I'd invest in PhotoShop, because it's a billion times better. I still kind of lust after a tablet through, even though I'd neglect it horribly after the first two weeks of fevered use... ^_^ For a little while there, I sort of knew how to use layers, but then I stopped trying to, and so have forgotten all over again ^^; Hmmm - I start with the prelim sketch, pencils and eraser on the couch, then, if I can be bothered, I ink the lines (I've got lazy with that lately, though ^^;). Then I scan it in and start the colouring - I generally begin with the skin, then the hair, then the features, then accessories and finish up with clothing.

GUEEEEESS WHAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT? IIIIIIII'M AAAAAAAA *BEEEEEETTTTTAAAAAAAAAA* *SCREAM OF JOY*
