Christmasies

Journal Entry: Tue Nov 17, 2009, 6:09 PM

Excited! Went to bestbuy today and got all kinds of yummy things for Christmas. Well - SOME yummy things anyways. I managed to pick up Assassins Creed II which looks phenominal and I really can't wait to play it. Down side being that I promised my little brother I'd give it to him for christmas... so it may have to be an ... *early* present once he finishes exams. Also got him UP which he is absolutely obsessed with. Haven't seen it myself but if he likes it chances are good I will too? We have VERY similar tastes in movies most of the time :D As for Moi - I managed to pick up the Star Trek 2 disk thing - already watched it once but can't wait to try out the preview game on the X360 that comes on the second disk :D Also went to chapters abd got the book L: Change the World which is making me all kinds of happy because I have been crushing on him since Volume 1 :D Awesome. And now I'm poor ;)

WOO! ESSAY IS 65% COMPLETE! \o/ I got point 2 written up - now all that's left to tackle is the remaining 30% which makes up point 1 (truth/universalism *shiver shiver*) and the 5% conclusion :D

Caitlin ended up sleeping over at her friend's house, which left me with this morning to drag it from 35 to 65, since tomorrow is going to be pretty busy - insulation guy is scheduled to come (though we don't know *when*, as such), and I have to take in my social security form, and mum will be waiting on phone calls for various things, and generally it's not going to be a very study-conducive household 0___0 This morning, I was tempted to just slack off and leave point 2 til tomorrow... but then remembered that it would be *much* worse to attempt it then than today ^^;

Lol, I told mum what my topic is, and she suggested I just stick my head in a grinder and get my brain-pain that way instead :P Always an encouraging reaction XP She can't figure out why I'd voluntarily choose something like Critical and Cultural Studies over something like History - but as I explained to her, the concept of doing mandatory Australian History units killed that before it had even had a chance to *consider* being a possibility in my mind 0_____0 She claims it's more interesting in uni - she did it herself about a year before having Caitlin - but I am definitely not going there :iconnotimpressedplz:

LMAO. Oh Kyouya. I have to say - personally I am massively partial to the part about Gators :D LOL. and Unless the homies wanna walk that strip and get that money they aren't gettin' shit :P I like it :D
:icontheisraelproject107:
And doesn't Kyouya just fit the part perfectly? XD And now I feel the need to go watch lots and lots of Ouran, so I can sigh over Kyouya anew :P It was such a well-done video - the dubbing on that final part was just so *perfect*, and the scene with Kyouya and his cell phone. Mannnnnnnnnnn, I admire that so much :XD:

Okay: seriously dying here. I just ate breakfast, two bits of multigrain toast and two biscuits... and NOW I'M REALLY, REALLY FUCKING THIRSTYYYYYYY, OMG, I NEED WATER DX AND I HAVE TWO COFFEES IN MY STOMACH, TOO, WHICH KIND OF BURNS MY GUT IF I DON'T PAD IT OUT WITH WATER, AND I HAVE NOTHINNNNGGGGGGGGGGG. AND THERE'S STILL OVER 3 HOURS BEFORE IT GETS TURNED BACK ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN.

Oh dear. Well at least you have water now? I am unimpressed. You know what's not fun? Waking up after only a couple of hours sleep for your chiro appt that had to be switched from 3 pm to 8 am because the chiro clinic was taking an early afternoon off - so you get up, eat something so you're not a total monster, go outside, scrape car windows, get in and immediately regret not putting on gloves as the interior of the car is at a stable -7 degrees, drive to chiro, get your adjustment, drive back just as the car starts to be less than hypothermic you pull into the driveway... just in time to see the roofing people finishing setting up for their job next door - and they have their radio blaring. They had it on earlier but I was so zombieified that I thought it was my alarm clock. Great. So I go back inside and to bed only to find that their fucking music is super loud even with all the blinds shut and doors closed and all that shiznid. I wanted to murderify them soooo massively. Finally - at like 11 am they finally finally turn it down a little so they can go take theri like 3 hour lunch break (go work ethic!) and I get ot nap until 2ish - but I was massively frazzelled all day because of it and got nothing done whatsoever except reading my sherrilyn kenyon books - which was awesome except I dont' have time right now to do that - I have a massive deadline looming and I'm already overtime on my proposal ^^; Shoot.

WOO! YEAH! YAY! I TOTALLY GOT A NEW SONGGGG, A NEW SONNNGGGGGG, A PHOENIX 22-49 SONGGGGGG! It's played a couple times on Triple J when I've been in the car the last week, and the first time I heard it, I thought maybe it could be cool for Born, but today it just WAS, I HAD TO HAVE IT. And then I discovered it's by a Melbourne band who aren't well-known enough to have their October-released album actually available for *cough* illegal download yet, so I went and paid a buck sixty-nine for it on iTunes (I'd have done that a lot sooner if I'd realised you could do it with your debit card - I always figured you had to have iTunes card thingies). [link] Check it outtttttttttt! I'll include it on the flashdrive - it's nearly 10 megs, so I can't email it :S I'm not listening to it, I refuse to - it had SO MUCH IMAGERY attached to it, if I listen to it without walking at the same time, it'll fade before I've properly grasped it. Walking is the mindless activity that allows me to totally sink into my imagination for plotting and visualising :) One thing I know for sure: Phoenix 22-49 likes mountain bikes :> I totally saw him riding a mountain bike very fast, with a flanelette shirt flapping behind him, over loose jeans and a skater shirt :iconheeplz: WHY THE FUCK CAN I NOT DRAW THESE IMAGES?! WHYYYYY?!

And yes, we have water again... but now we also have air in the pipes ^______________________________^ BANG-BANG-BANG-BANG-SPIT-BANG-BANG! "FUCK! AAH! FUCK!" And it's dirty water 0________________0 I still haven't had a fricking drink, because I prefer my water to *not* be tinted *brown*.

Ohhhhh, hun - that definitely sounds like a stressful day, right there :S *hugs* Ick - absolutely foul. The super early appointment! Inhuman! I didn't even know those places were *open* at eight, isn't nine, or even eight-thirty, generally the way to go? Jeeeeeeze, that's painful :S Especially with how *cold* it must have been, ugh, you poor thing :( And... oh, man. I so much want to strangle those guys. Not those guys in particular - although that would satisfied you quite nicely, I'm sure - but those *guys*, the ones who turn up their radios *so loud* at the most evil early hours, and fucking... bellow to each other while they're working. So inconsiderate! If only you *could* have murdified them, because god only knows you need your sleep :S Ugh, I'm not surprised you got so little done - days like that are write-offs right from the start. At least it was hopefully, in *some* ways, a bit of a good oasis kind of day, in that you got to read so much Acheron stuff? So maybe you can be supercharged for tomorrow, to get work done and whatnot? Not that my working pace compares to yours - like, even slightly - but I know that those sorts of events really kill *my* mind, I end up really needing something relaxing and fun, the whole 'serious concentrated focus!' thing goes right out the window ^^; Eeeeeeeeeesh. So it's still the thesis proposal, then? What are you having to do now on it? (When does it get approved, and cease being a mere ';proposal', so you can actually embark upon the thesis?)

Urgh - sleep wellllllllllll tonight, my dear!

Oh wow! I love the song. Very nice - although rather annoying that I looked it up on google and they dont' have a full compilation of the lyrics up yet. Lol - the song reminds me of were-hunters :D It's awesome though - a perfect combo of rebelliousness, fuck you I don't care what you think...edness?, and a kinda really charismatic join me in anarchy with a wierd peacish tinge to it? It's odd, and actually reminds me a LOT of most of the music I was into in high school to be honest, but really awesome too! Do like. So do they do other awesome things too or is this a one-off? Might check out their myspace sometime to see if they've posted more?

Lol - what does Nix-22 look like again? Lol - I can totally picture it though - he just doesn't have a face in my head ^^; LOL - it's times like these that I wish I were an art student or at least had access to my wacom. Someone could make a hellovalot of money producing something that allowed you to move pictures from your head straight onto paper or a computer.
:icontheisraelproject107:
Lol! I hadn't read this yet when I decided to do a picture of 22-49, but he was in my head, and I couldn't get him out, so I decided to have a go at him :P It's not all that great since it's sort of cartoonish, and I always imagine them very lifelike in my head, but as long as I don't TRY to make him lifelike, it's all good :D HAHA, and I totally agree - we need some kind of psychic artist software that lets you transfer them into the computer. It would be epic :D (Also, potentially disturbing - there's a lot of stuff in peoples' heads we prolly don't wanna see >.>;)

And YES, IT'S SUCH AN AWESOME SONG! Haha, I should get a copy of your high school playlist, then ;p I love this sort of music, very very muchly :D I just haaaate it that a lot of punk-ish lead singers have whiny voices -.-;; (And yet... Placebo...) As for their other stuff - noooooooooo idea! Hold, Hold, Fire is from their new album, and Triple J had a download of one of the other songs from it a while back (but I was far too late, it's a dead link now). But I'd totally check out their other stuff. Plus, they're touring with The Butterfly Effect! That's a signal of their awesome, right there :D

Hunnnnnnnnnnnngry! Am cooking dinner. Caitlin ended up staying at her friend's place, and they went to a birthday party (it's a disco, cute, but they're 10? Seems early/expensive/odd for a bday party?) together, so I haven't actually eaten except for two bits of toast at lunchtime ^^; I got involved in writing, and then doing Phoenix 22-49... and now my back is trying to murder me for the crimes of sitting, sitting, and sitting for too long 0______0;; Ouchies. Need a massage, stat!
